Established on January 24, 2014, it was founded to address the many challenges facing our youth. The goal of the program is to identify students who are experiencing adolescent hardships and who may have a difficult transition into adulthood. To address these challenges, Project Promise launched the Caterpillar Project in January 2016 to provide a comprehensive educational, health, career, and vocational support system for the island’s at-risk youth.
