GET INVOLVED TODAY!

The challenges that the Virgin Islands' at-risk youth face can be daunting. Many live in poverty, some have learning disabilities, others have suffered abuse or have participated in risky behaviors. Project Promise was formed to help at-risk youth in St. Croix, by providing them with tools and support they need to get and stay on a positive path and to change the trajectory of their lives.

Project Promise takes a holistic approach, an approach designed to support and empower the whole child. From what we’ve seen since launching our programming, our intensive, holistic approach works! The benefits of the programs we offer are to counteract these challenges that our youth face. Implementing these programs takes time, money, dedicated staff, and volunteers. We invite you to get involved and help Project Promise changes lives for at-risk youth and positively impact communities in the Virgin Islands and beyond.

Ways to Get Involved

Sponsor A Child

Project Promise is excited to announce the launch of the Empowered Me program, a holistic enrichment program designed to empower local students ages 10 to 18 with the tools and attitudes they need to be winners in life.

Participants will attend engaging Saturday sessions held at our newly-renovated downtown Christiansted facility. During each 12-week session, the age-group-specific classes and activities will center around six programming pillars: Personal Wellness, Financial Literacy, Career Exploration, Creative Expression, Cultural Awareness and Community Service.

Who can enroll?

While the Empowered Me program is open to all area youth, 50% of slots are reserved specifically for low to moderate income families.

Why do we need your support?

With your help, no child will be turned away from the Empowered Me program due to lack of funds.

Become An Event Sponsor

Perhaps it’s the pulsating Cuban music, which seems to make it impossible for anyone to sit still. Maybe it’s the mouth-watering Cuban food, the irresistible Cuban ambiance, or just the exhilaration of feeling like you’ve been transported to another place and time. Whatever it is that attendees enjoy most, Project Promise’s annual Havana Nights fundraising event has become a wildly popular event.

Event sponsorship is a way to get your company’s message in front of this enthusiastic audience. Four levels of sponsorship are available, as well as booklet ad opportunities:

Become An Event Volunteer

Each year Havana Nights, Project Promise’s annual fundraising event, brings together over 350 people for a fun and memorable evening of food, dancing, a Silent Auction and more. Making an event of this size run smoothly takes the helping hands of many people. We’d love to have your assistance!

Become A Guest Speaker

An important part of our flagship Caterpillar Project is career exploration. Our monthly guest speakers help our students see the many possibilities for their future. Thanks to video conferencing, guest speakers can be located anywhere in the world. As a guest speaker you’ll have 45 minutes to an hour to talk about your career, presenting it as a viable option for the students to consider for themselves. Why did you choose this career? What are the educational requirements for entering this field? What road did you take to get there? What is your typical day like? What do you like most and least about your career? Etc.

Please contact us at 1-340-513-0446 to discuss the details.
